SE LT28at (aka Nozomi & Xperia Arc HD) More Details: LTE, 4.55-inch 720p, 13MP Camera

It seems like Sony Ericsson has a hard time competing with the likes of Motorola and Samsung here in the States. They make fairly attractive phones with decent specs, but can't seem to gain any traction. Obviously, part of the problem was that they developed a poor reputation for updating their product to the latest Android builds, but they are looking to change that by rolling out ICS very quickly. SE recently reported that they plan to start rolling out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as early as March, and plan to have the entire Xperia line upgraded by April. That is an impressive schedule if they can pull it off.

The other problem with Sony Ericsson phones in the past was that they were rather mediocre in their tech specs. Some new info on their next flagship phone has just been released and it looks like SE is striving to get competitive there as well. We have heard many leaks of the phone that has been called the Nozomi and the Xperia Arc HD, but now we do know the internal codename of the U.S. version of the phone, as well as some specs. The phone is called the LT28at, (the "at" part likely means it will come to AT&T first), and it will sport the following known specs:
    • 4.55-inch 720P Sony Reality Display screen
    • 13MP camera
    • LTE

Earlier reports suggest that it will likely come with either a 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, which is becoming the standard for "flagship" status. While the 13MP seems very impressive, most folks know that mega-pixels aren't everything. However, let us not forget that past experience with Sony cameras on phones has been very good as well. Their Exmor R technology produces better than your average smartphone results, so it will be worth checking out. Obviously, the other specs are much appreciated as well.

What do you guys think? What would it take from Sony Ericsson to entice you for a second look?
