Sprint Launches "Upgrade Now" Program for Existing Customers

Today, Sprint launched a new upgrade model available to existing customers entitled "Upgrade Now". Upgrade Now lets customers upgrade to new devices at any time in their contracts, and at prices less than retail but greater than new-contract promotional prices. Upgrade prices are decided by the device and how much time is left on the user's contract. Currently, Upgrade Now is only available to limited markets as a trial, and there was no word yet on whether Sprint plans to expand this program, nor on the locations of these select markets. For those of you who are Sprint customers and can't wait to upgrade, you may just get lucky. If so, let is know in the forums. For everyone else, what do you think of Sprint's new upgrade model?

Sprint ran me off with their ability to find new ways to increase my bill and to collect money from me without providing service in return. Add everything together over the years and I finally got motivated enough to say "enough is too much" and I stopped doing business with them. I am certain that in time this will turn out to be another way to grab more money from customers.
