Verizon Confirms They Will Not be Getting Any of the HTC One Series
This probably won't come as a surprise to most of our readers, but according to a statement from a Verizon spokesperson, Jeff Gordon, the company will not be carrying any of the HTC One series phones. He said, “Verizon is not going to be carrying either of the HTC One devices currently announced." For Verizon customers that are also HTC fans, their only options on newer/newish high-end HTC smartphones will be the HTC Rezound and the HTC Incredible 4G LTE.
With the way he worded his response, it's possible that Verizon may get some other version of the HTC One series in the future, but that is pure speculation. I wonder why Big Red chose to take a pass on the new flagship series from HTC. Share your theories in the thread.

Boo. They passed on the sgsII last year and that was a major hit. Looks like they're going to shoot themselves in the foot again.

Samsung may have simply declined to use Verizon to market their phone. Consider the fiasco they had with the Galaxy Nexus.

I believe its the carriers discretion to carry devices. Manufacturers want to get their stuff out to as many users as possible. Technically the gnex is a Google device, not Samsung, they just made it.

My point was that Verizon messed up the launch of the CDMA version of the Galaxy Nexus *Big Time*, then followed the launch with an almost non-existent advertising campaign. If I were Samsung I'd be asking myself if Verizon is actually a company I want to do business with on big ticket phones.

Well they should've realized that when they launched the xoom. Moto hardware, Google open source, and horrible advertising by VZW. Round 2: VZW dropped the ball again. I doubt there will be a third time.

My point exactly! Thanks Dude!

Ya. I just love VZW coverage and speeds though. I don't see myself switching carriers unless something drastic changes.

Maybe they decided to back off and let Samsung rock people's socks with the SGSIII?
Cue laugh track.
Verizon hasn't hyped any phones since the iPhone 4/S other than the Spectrum, and even that had to play second fiddle to R2D2 -- speaking of, remember the flop that was the R2D2 phone? Yeah, me neither.
Verizon's position is that coverage and reliability is more important than phone choice and, judging by sales figures, they seem to be on the right track when it comes to Americans. However, I'm hoping for the SGSIII to make it onto Big Red with a quad-core CPU, so feel free to laugh again.
