Sprint's 4G LTE Network Ahead of Schedule; Now Available in South SF Bay Area
It looks like Sprint's 4G LTE Network is ahead of schedule in some areas. The rollout in parts of Texas, Georgia, Missouri, and Kansas went smoothly, and now the southern part of the San Francisco Bay Area has some LTE coverage as well. Sadly, San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose are left out of the mix for now, but Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, and Mountain View are seeing initial rollout speeds of 8Mbps upload and 13Mbps download. This is a little on the slow side compared to Verizon and AT&T, but these areas have not even been officially announced, so it is likely they are still tweaking things and setting up towers. We will keep you informed as more develops.
