Samsung Galaxy S4 Will Have Built-In SwiftKey Functionality

This probably shouldn't come as too big of a surprise, because the previous generation of devices the SGS3 and SGS2 also had it, but the new SGS4 will include the predictive keyboard software SwiftKey built-in. Despite this not being too surprising, it's still welcome news for folks who use it. For many, using SwiftKey (or similar predictive gesturing) is the only way they prefer to type. It's great to see Samsung continues to include useful software with their flagship devices. The easier they make it to use, the more excellent word of mouth advertising they get from users enjoying their experience with the phone.

Sound off if you enjoy SwiftKey or something like it. Also, who out there likes to use Swype-like functionality?

I use swipe like keyboard all the time. It really comes in handy with big screen phones and one handed typing for sure..

I don't care for the entire concept behind Swype, so I'll pass on this feature.

I used to be the same way Mike. I just couldn't wrap my head around the whole concept, it didn't seem "natural" at all. After 2+ years of everyone around me using and raving about it, I finally gave in and forced myself to try it out. Now, there's no way I could ever go back to tapping out words. Even as good as Swiftkey is with its predictive text. It's the weirdest thing, but I absolutely love it now. :screwy:

Thanks Chris, but I'm only saying that personally, I refuse to use those type of keyboards - but of course, the people who do like it can use it with my blessings!

Yeah, I know. Hey we like what we like right? I was just saying, I used to feel the same way, but now I'm hooked.

Have you given Kii a try? The swipe feature on it is one of the best I've seen so far....

Mike is against swiping. It doesn't matter what kind of swiping it is. :P

I guess in this case you can't teach a "really old dog" a new trick, eh Mike? :D
