So I have a nexus s and I just updated it to 2.3.6. after the installation was done it got stuck at the splash screen and I had to take out the battery. Once I finally got it working I found out I have the "no service" bug (I had the 3G google voice bug before this.). Anyways I downloaded to fix it but when I press the power + volume button and select recovery mode I get this stupid android thing with an exclamation point (I used to get the same thing with OTA updates but it updated to 2.3.6 fine today). Can somebody help please?

Android with the exclamation is the stock recovery. With the N1 you need to press vol up plus power to access the menu, but I'm not sure what the key press is for the NS...

Sounds like you were rooted before you did the update. That happened to mine too, but I was expecting it. All you have to do is just reflash ClockworkMod Recovery and you will be good to go! I have been flashing an older one at first then use Rom Manager to flash the latest version.
