I have a Samsung Note 2 with 64 GB Micro SD memory. Everything was fine until Verizon update software of Android last May 2014. Now I still can store the camera captured pictures on the DCIM subfolder in the Micro SD card. But the pictures were defaced and corrupted. I deleted the corrupted folder DCIM in the card many times but the corrupted pictures keep coming back. I try to reformat the Micro SD using the phone command, but it was blocked by something and would not reformat the memory chip. I try to install the trend micro virus protection, it found nothing. Any suggestion? Thanks

Is the phone now on 4.4 or 4.4.2?

Welcome to the forum!
Can you explain what you mean or why you think they were "defaced or corrupted"? When you opened up your gallery, did you see a little icon in the corner of your pictures? It's possible you may have your Picasa sync turned on which is preventing you from permanently deleting them. (Just a thought)
