Perhaps this is a stupid question. But I purchased my OnePlus One from my country local ebay like store so I didn't have to get an invite. So if people can buy OnePlus one from Amazon for example. Why would people still wait for an invite?

If you purchasing oversea, claiming waranty is a hassle anyway and if the seller can handle it for you I think it should be fine to buy from seller other than OnePlus themself. No? (I should mention the seller should be a trusted one).

Every Tuesday, there is a 24 hour window where anyone can order the One+ phone online, directly from the manufacturer. No invitation needed.

I see. But I am sure the stock is somewhat limited during that open window. I was just wondering why people don't just buy from a third party like this one via Amazon

What you're saying isn't completely accurate. Why would the stock be limited? I ordered mine on a Tuesday and it was delivered the next Saturday - four days later. This was with normal non-expedited shipping. Additionally, why do you think Amazon would have a better supply on hand than the actual manufacturer?
