I am new to development and would love to start creating custom ROM's or helping others great custom ROM's. However, I need a little guidance to start. If anybody could point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I am phenominal at getting things done. So, if there is a Idiot's Guide out there or someone can explain it a little would be great. Thanks! :cool-android:

No problem. If you're not already, I would recommend setting up linux. I use ubuntu 10.10 and only use windows as a last resort.

Thanks Droid-Xer and Cush. @ Xer I have Ubuntu 9.10, 10.04, Xp, Vista, Win 7 etc etc... I run them in VMWare. @ Cush, my only thing is having a custom rom for a phone that CM may not have running AOSP for. Once I start seeing what others have done I adapt and can help others complete ROM's that should not be able to run on certain hand sets.
