View Full Version : How to connect to a hidden Bluetooth network?

So I'm reading a 300 page PDF and up to page 93 now out of 388.
I have setup the Eclipse with JDK and the Android SDK.

I want to make an application that does a series of functions with the PS3.

One of them is making the Droid device a controller.
But the PS3 Bluetooth is hidden. Hoe to connect on Android device?

Or do I have to change something in the PS3 to make it visible?

AFAIK, the PS3 cannot be outwardly visible to any other devices. It can only scan for other devices that are in pairing mode. Plus it only has very specific bluetooth device profiles for the Playstation certified devices.

Wish it were different... I'd love to use my phone as my remote!

BTW... Welcome to the forum! :)

I'm reading a document (another one) on reverse engineering the PS3 connection.
It is possible to create software controller but a lot more needs to be done.
But its all explained. In fact the person who wrote the document (Bluetooth doc) had the same idea as me.
