Hi! Just got the G2x a few weeks ago, but today, my laptop doesn't appear to be seeing it.
Using the factory usb cable, as before. Any help is appreciated.

Try updating your drivers and rebooting both the phone and the laptop, if you haven't already.

My computer doesn't have any problem seeing it, but it does have issues digesting the drivers for the phone. I managed to make it work long enough to root, but my puter wasn't happy about it at all. I don't know if it has to do with the 64 bit Win 7 or not.

I wouldn't think so. That's what's on the majority of new computers sold today, after all. Probably it's something else on the PC messing things up. Hopefully you won't need to worry about it, at least for a while.

Could be overly protective antivirus quarantining the driver files or ADB.

It's more than likely what Dorian is suggesting with the anti virus. I would suggest turning off your antivirus first and see if that helps.

But for the love of all that's holy, disconnect from the internet first! :)

Yes unplug your internet before turning off antivirus.

I'll give that a shot if I need to do anything besides transfer files. I'm rooted now so hopefully I'm good for a while.

I thought the g2x does not come with the drivers installed. You have to dl the drivers onto your computer from the internet.

That's correct.

OK sense no one knows how ill tell you :) Google junefabrics and install the software, run it and it should work. If not then in the market download PDA net from the market and go into settings, applications, devolopment, and turn usb debug on and run both PDA net on phone and PC and it should ask to install extra drivers if not then your set, it worked for me

PS: after driver is installed you don't need to keep the PDA app or connect to it
