Welcome to the forum ny! I've heard of people using torrent sites to download/watch movies via their Android devices, but its not something I would recommend. Just be real careful doing so, as thats the quickest way of picking up a virus/malware.
Good luck!

I've done it a couple of times using tTorrent which is a free app that you can get from the Market.

Which media player do u recommend for watching video files?

I am planning to buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. If I can download movies via torrent and watch in this Tab, it will be really great. So all the common video files which we get from torrent is supported in Android?

Samsung products are weird when it comes to watching videos. You can download QQ player and that should work. Also, I can tell you of a free video converting software program for a pc. It converts for any device, including the self-centered i-things. You know, made by that fruit company? Kinda reminds me of crabapples.
Small, ugly, pointless, and tastes like crap.

Please don't get involved with torrents. You will want your money back with no possible way of getting it. I was screwed $13, TWICE!

Also, keep in mind how torrents work. You get bits and pieces of data from many users. Even on WiFi, depending on how your client is set up, you can destroy your home internet connection while downloading a file. And if you are so inclined, it won't even work on the data side. Torrents are nice for the home computer, and if you are intelligent about where you download from. On the phone, I would just stay away from them. Find a phone friendly format and convert the files accordingly.

As the mods say, it is not a good idea to install torrent clients on your phone, but if you want to, uTorrent Remote and Transdroid are absolutely great!

I don't download movies on my phone. I only download movies in my laptop because it has good anti-virus. Usually when you download movies it's pack of virus on it.

Yes, you can, just download MX Player, it supports each and every video format. You could play any video through it.
