Too bad VZW, didn't get a variant of the GS2. :(

I guess the Prime will have to do. ;)

I just picked up two, one for me and one for my wife. I left ATT because my service here was no good and each time I called they said "Towers are down in your area" So now I'm a Sprint Customer.

I left T-mobile for Sprint when the Palm Pre came out. I couldn't stand T-mobile's errors (in billing, and in faulty execution of account changes) and poor service (unqualified phone support people, liars at level-two, and incompetent on-site service calls) any longer; and it appeared that a $30 app on the Pre would enable me to run all my old PalmOS apps, many of which (like DateBk, HandyShopper, and especially Pocket Quicken) still have no decent replacements on iPhone nor Android (much to my amazement and sadness).

I've been very happy with Sprint's people and service. So now I've replaced the Pre with my first Android, a Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic Touch, and am just getting to know my way around and customizing everything. Aside from a really awful speakerphone (it's either too soft or too distorted) and not-so-great battery-life (understandable, given all that I'm doing), it's pretty awesome.

Not sure if I like this phone or not. I am really perturbed at how difficult it is to find the files to root this device. If I cannot do this , then they can have this phone back !!! TRINITY

Ok, sorry to hear that. Is there a reason why you feel that way? Why do you want it rooted? By rooting it what do you want to gain? Are you planning on creating your own custom rom? Or you going to flash someone elses?

I've been on Sprint's network with the Samsung Galaxy S2 since april 2012. So far-great camera, gps navigation and gorgeous screen. However, I've been having such a poor sound quality that I came to hate talking on the phone. The device heats up really fast to a point I get a headache from holding it up against my ear. When switching to speakerphone it sounds lousy, I can barely hear the other person and they can almost never hear me. Not to mention the lousy network that Sprint provides these days. This phone has been a nightmare to use as a phone. anyone else had the same problem? Any suggestions for improving the sound quality of phone calls??? Please share! :) also-recently battery life had gone down significantly. I need to charge about twice a day and I don't even use the phone much. Have been doing a full charge on the battery from 0 to 100% before turning the device on, but no improvement whatsoever. My last frustration with this device is typing. It absolutely sucks! text editing has been a nightmare, the cursor seems to have a mind of its own, texting, emailing, writing any text in general has been really clumsy even with the swype feature. I used to have a blackberry and I just loved how fast and nimble email on that puppy was. With the galaxy phone writing an email has turned into a big hassle and I really need to stay on top of communication. perhaps if I was a gamer I would've made a better use of this device. is it just me or this phone is just not designed for communicating the human way???
