I'm getting all confused! Can I or can i NOT use my Ally to connect my laptop to the Internet?

I downloaded PDAnet and it was supposed to show an icon in my laptop tray that I supposedly

click on to connect. The icon never showed up so I couldn't connect.

Then I called Verizon Wireless and they told me the the LG Ally cannot be used to connect my laptop

because it isn't broadband capable!

Please help me! My Verizon Access Manager ($59.99 a month) quit working on my laptop!

From what I've read here, some of you are definitely using your LG ALLY to connect your laptops.

Do any of you have Verizon Wireless?

Thanks for your help ASAP!!

The Ally is only sold by Verizon Wireless in the US. Yes, I have connected my laptop to the Internet using my Ally and the PDANet App.

One thing you don't mention is downloading the PDANet driver. More answers and tips can be found here in the forums if you search "PDANet" or "Tethering." Make sure you search "Forums" and not just a subsection.

Because there are several threads about tethering already floating around, I am going to close this one so we can centralize our collective information.
