According to the android websie, the 2.1 version (Eclair) which is what the Intercept currently has, is supposed to include live wallpapers. The problem is that my phone does not have them. I tried going to the settings menu, as well as the long press menu from the home page, but only wallpapers is listed, not live wallpapers. Is this a Sprint proprietary issue or just because this is a midrange Android phone?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!!

no that was a misprint on their part. I believe most other Android 2.1 phones can have em, I know the Epic does but the intercept does not have live wallpapers. I believe when 2.2 is released you can use em. Dont quote me on that though. Besides with the low memory of the Intercept you'd probably be freezing up the phone a lot more with live wallpapers. All they do is eat your battery anyhow.
