There's a student discount site that is offering a deal when you pre-order the EVO 3D or Nexus S. New customers and new lines will get 15% off their monthly bill, a $50 service credit, a $35 rebate, free shipping, and waived activation fees. Here's a link to get MORE INFO (http://****************/StudentRate/itt-tech-Woburn/get-itt-tech-Woburn-student-deals/Sprint-HTC-EVO-3D-and-Nexus-S-Student-Discounts--/0)

Who else is excited about the EVO 3D??

Thanks for the info. Do you know when either phone is going to be released?

The Nexus S is suppose to be released this month I thought, so maybe next week?? The EVO 3D was said to be released early summer so hopefully June.

I'm more excited about the Nexus S since it's coming out May 8th. Pre-ordering is a good idea because I feel like this phone is going to fly off the shelves.

Is this pre-order deal only good for new customers?

Is this pre-order deal only good for new customers?

No sorry, I should have mentioned that. It's good for existing customers too. It mentions if you're upgrading and pre-ordering you get the 15% monthly discount, rebate, free shipping, waived upgrade fee...so basically the same minus the $50 credit.

Does anyone know what the process is like with pre-ordering from that site?

When I pre-ordered the nexus s I filled out pre-order request form then someone called me. I had to give my credit card info etc. I wasn't charged until the phone was ordered on the release date, which was good. It all went pretty smooth.

What if I'm already on a family plan? can I still get discounts?

You can migrate your account to the discount plan when you upgrade your device I think... but you have to buy the phone through them.

I heard it's going to be released June 24th, which would make sense since Sprint's special where you can get $125 service credit for porting your number is ending on June 23rd.

I just saw on the studentrate site that you can pre-order the evo 3D online through their Amazon Link (http://****************/StudentRate/itt-tech-Woburn/get-itt-tech-Woburn-student-deals/Sprint-HTC-EVO-3D-and-Nexus-S-Student-Discounts--/0) and they'll still give you the % off your monthly bill. It's going to be only $179.99 on Amazon. Good to know!

So new accts porting numbers over will not be able to get the $125 service credit? Even if they pre-order?

Not unless Sprint extends the port credit expiration date

I swear the last time I looked on Amazon the EVO 3D was at $149.99 but now it's back at $179.99...maybe it was only a 1 day deal.
