What's the deal with ****************? Do you have to be a student?

You use to need an .edu email address from your school but the recently opened the site up to incoming freshmen and alumni, so as long as you click that box when registering you can just use your normal email address.

I noticed that the upgrade option brings you to a form to fill out. Does that automatically upgrade you? Can you just upgrade through Amazon for the discount?

Do you guys know if you can find out how much of a discount each student is eligible for? I go to UCSD . Hopefully it's 23% :)

You can just upgrade through Amazon for the discount. You just have to follow the instructions about emailing your order # etc

Just saw Amazon has a special right now... Buy an Android Device from AmazonWireless and get $15 in credits for apps, MP3s and Kindle content

I checked with them and I would get 19% off at first then bumped up to 23% discount. I like the idea of ordering through Amazon over Sprint. I think i might go for it.

I placed my order on Amazon for the EVO 3D and got the offer $15 in credits for apps, MP3s and Kindle content- sent the email to Studentrate with all the info and they said it would take a couple billing cycles for the discount to show

It's weird that most students don't know about this discount. there is a lot of money to be saved over time

Are there any additional perks for new Sprint customers?

Are there any additional perks for new Sprint customers?

Well new customers to Sprint, who are porting their numbers over from another carrier and getting a smart phone get $125 service credit, which you can't get if you use Amazon.

You can use studentrates SPRINT DEAL (http://www.****************/STUDENTRATE/itp/get-itp-student-deals/Sprint-Student-Rate-Member-Discount--/0) to get that porting credit plus the 23%.

Besides that I don't think there are any additional benefits of being a new customer.

Well now, that's quite a deal. I think this may bring me over to Sprint. Thanks for your help.
