Just got my case i ordered for my phone. The case fits perfect and makes the phone feel so much better IMO. $6.98 with free shipping and handling. Oh and it only took about 5 days to receive it. If you haven't checked it out yet, go check it out.

does it recess the keyboard?

Good to know that it fits well and everything. does it affect the touchscreen at all (make it harder to hit the edges, etc)?

I was really considering getting the rubberized case, but I ended up going with the smoke crystal case (NEW HARD CASE COVER SMOKE FOR MOTOROLA MB300 BACKFLIP - eBay (item 310209148883 end time Apr-22-10 15:09:50 PDT) (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-HARD-CASE-COVER-SMOKE-FOR-MOTOROLA-MB300-BACKFLIP_W0QQitemZ310209148883QQcmdZViewItemQQptZP DA_Accessories?hash=item4839e7f7d3)). I'll report back when I get it.

Just a bit, not to much.

It really is. I haven't had any complaints about it so far. And i tend to drop my phone a lot and the backflip's case is not really good at preventing scratches.

Well, I got my crystal case in today. It is very nice and it is also seems to be a completely perfect fit.

It doesn't add much bulk and doesn't seem to interfere with any function of the phone as far as I can tell. I epically like the way the faceplate is made. It protrudes forward from the face of the phone a little bit, but it doesn't actually cover any of the black faceplate up, only the grey trim around the edges. So it doesn't seem to interfere with hitting the very edges of the touchscreen at all.

Just out of curiosity, how is the rubberized case constructed? Is it rubberized all the way around including the inside, or is it just the outside?

If I'm not mistaken, "rubberized" usually means hard plastic with the rubber feel on top. I got caught with that once. I want the real rubber case that's floppy.

Yeah, it does sound like that is the kind the OP got (hard with rubber coating).

I guess the reason I was asking if it is rubberized on the inside of the case (the part touching the phone) as well as the outside is that it seems like I have heard of cheap cases that were only rubberized on the outside, and so the coating began to peal off at the seam before long (I could be making that up though). Also there are a couple parts of my crystal case that flex slightly and rub against the phone just a tiny bit, so I was thinking if the inside was rubberized instead of slick like mine it might provide a little bit snugger fit.

Yeah, and I always feel like they provide more shock resistance if your phone falls.

So I just got the same case as tae_254, but in blue. I have to say that it is a great product. It was beyond easy to install, it fits well, and it adds a nice feel to the phone. This, along with my screen protector, makes it feel as if nothing can break this phone now. The case does not add a lot of bulk either. Overall, I'm very pleased and recommend this to anyone over the absurdly costly casemate case that you can buy at an AT&T store. It was only around 6 bucks, and free shipping... Who could complain?

So is it hard plastic with the rubber feel on top? Or rubber throughout?

Kewl, thanks. I had ordered the Case-Mate one with the phone (got a discount through my employer), but I want to get one of these other ones because of the fun colors. I see they have purple :D

Dropped my phone yesterday , it was really unavoidable , took a few scratches with the worst one right by the volume control. I had ordered this case , should be here wednesday. Will that case fit nicely up to the volume control buttons , if it does it will hide the scratch.

Just got a message from ATT that today's sale is a 30% off sale on cell phone cases and free shipping. Good until midnight tonight. Follow the link (http://go-att.us/lben).

Just to add, just checked out their selection for Backflip cases, and it looks like pretty slim pickings.

Not really. It has an open space around the volume rocker and the USB port.

I second that. I would love to see how all of your phones look with the case on from multiple angles.

What are yall using for screen protectors?

I purchased the one AT&T supplies when i bought the phone, it is black plastic, a bit bulky, and slippery, but my biggest issue is that the screen protector is a hardish plastic that makes what looks like wierd pools of wet all over the screen if pressed.

Some of these marks persist and have to be cleared by pulling the cover away from the phone.

It also catches quite a bit of whatever is stuck in my beard today in the space between the case and screen. Bleh!

So.. what are you using. How does it work, will it cut cans?

I wouldnt mind another case for the backflip for color... but I have the ATT case that I bought when I got the phone, it works great for me. Ya it gets a small bit of moisture in it... 3 second fix. Plus I dropped my phone in water, it was completely fine. The screen protector started peeling off, I took it to the ATT store and it took 2 minutes to get a new one for free. I kinda like the 1yr warranty already.

Evil, that would be the Naked shell Case you bought at AT&T. I think there a descent case but mine was coming apart so I returned it. Instead I picked up this shell: Motorola BACKFLIP Snap-On Protective Case - Dark Green (http://www.thinkbackflip.com/motorola-backflip-snap-on-protective-case-9504.html)
And this screen protector:
ZAGG | invisibleSHIELD | Motorola Backflip Cases, Screen Protectors, Covers, Shields, Skins, Invisible Shield (http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/motorola-backflip-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php)

I figured with a hard shell case, there was no point in buying the full protector from zagg since most of the phone will be protected from scratches.

Wow, that case does look very nice, and your pictures are excellent!

I snapped a few pics of my smoke crystal case, but most of them didn't really turn out (I attached a couple though)... Overall the case is very similar in construction to yours, but there appear to be a few subtle differences.

For one it looks like yours is actually a little bit slimmer. Also the way the faceplate is made seems slightly different. I think my case sticks up farther, but it doesn't actually cover any of the black portion of the faceplate at all.

Overall I think I like yours a little bit better :) But I am fine with mine for now.

Con5150 and acmasters, thanks for the great shots! I really like the look of Con5150's. Seems to be sold out though? I assume it's the one that tae_254 linked to, which doesn't seem to be listed anymore.

Just ran across this: Black Rubberized Shield Protector Case for Motorola Backflip MB300 - Motorola Backflip Shield Protector Cases (http://www.daydeal.com/product.php?productid=41255&cat=4845)

It looks very similar to Con5150s case, but it is from a different seller so I don't know if it is the exact same case or not. But the cool thing is they actually have a video of an install and showcase of it! So you may want to check this video out if you are interested in one of these cases. They also have a pretty wide selection of colors, and they have quite a few other accessories as well. Note that they appear to be selling the same cases for cheaper on ebay though (eBay Store: Search results for daydeal. (http://stores.ebay.com/DayDeal-DayDeal__backflip_W0QQ_sidZ15968643QQ_trksidZp4634 Q2ec0Q2em14?_pgn=1)), so I don't think I would purchase it though their website.

Nice find, thanks! I still can't decide whether I want one. I want to see how the phone feels without a case for a while, I think. Damn Amazon Wireless messed up my order, though, so my Backflip won't be here til the 21st.

Where is this case at, I seem to only click dead links in the forum? I too got the ATT snap on case and they come apart way to easy. The glue holding the film to the border gives out or something. Has happened twice... I really like the black look of this case!

Yeah, looks like the Amazon link posted earlier has moved, but this is from the same seller mentioned and appears to be the same thing: Amazon.com: Black Rubber Feel Snap-On Cover Hard Case Cell Phone Protector for Motorola MB300/Backflip: Cell Phones & Service

As far as ebay, it kind of sounds like people are getting the same case from multiple sources, so you would probably be fine to just seach ebay and buy the cheapest one that comes up, but if you want to be safe, then only search the items from sellers who have been mentioned here.

I would bet that they are the same, but I don't know for sure. I actually have two different types of cases I got off ebay now, one is a black rubberized case (my wife also has the red color) that appears to be the same one Con5150 and others in this thread have gotten, and the other is a crystal case that I don't like quite as much because it is bulkier. I think the easiest way to tell the difference from pictures is that the slimmer, rubberized (though I think there may be non-rubberized versions of this case as well) case has a small indentation on the faceplate for the microphone, while the other version I have does not. There could be other types of cases out there that just look like one of these two though, I don't know...

Personally I would defiantly go for the cheaper one though. Not just because it is a bit cheaper, but mainly because it has much more detailed pictures which I always appreciate when buying online.

For what it's worth I stopped using my case a few weeks ago. I liked it and all but I really like how the phone looks as is....all so one thing I didn't like was when typing on the keyboard the case would feel a little loose in my hands...not sure if I can explain this...as you typed the case would push down just a little....not sitting perfectly flush....

That is some nice option over some those bulky skins, Now itís easy to protected I pad from dust and all that hostile conditions. And we can find plenty of option's for Samsung phone skin covers (http://www.decalskin.com) online to choose from many online stores.
