Hi I'm new to this forum I received a link from swype.com where I was trying to learn how to install swype onto my Inspire. I read the thread that they sent me to on this site but that thread was for installing swype onto a backflip. Would those instruction also apply to the inspire?

Try going *here* (http://beta.swype.com/) and registering for the beta. They will give you an installer for Android that will install Swype. :)

yeah I did that and downloaded the installer on my phone but after that it wont install on my phone because att has apps blocked that arent from the market and It dont give me an option to allow unknown sources. I don't know how to get around it. I've read several things about how to get around it but I just don't know which way to go. Everything I've read say's to go here and download this , then go there and download that. Something about adb. Its all to complicated

Go here [Guide] Installing Swype Beta on HTC Inspire 4G - Android Forums (http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-inspire-4g/60295-guide-installing-swype-beta-htc-inspire-4g.html)

This should help. I didn't follow the step per this instruction but I followed the ADB prompt at step 11 and 12. Everything before I just did through SideWonderMachine.

It's kinda of tricky but not really.
