I’m planning to put some movies to Infuse 4G for watching, most of which are H.264 MKV files copied from my DVD collections. I Googled for hours only to find the Infuse 4G support “MPEG4, H.263, H.264, DivX, XviD, WMV, AVI, 3GP, Flash Video”, but does it handles MKV playback ?

Yes it does. It just doesn't handle AC3 audio. It has to be plain stereo audio in MP3 or AAC format.

BTW, Welcome to the forum! :)

My Samsung Infuse 4G doesn’t play MKV. But is plays MP4 without problem. Why not try MP4?

Really? What type were you trying to play? 1080p high-profile won't work, but 720p works fine. :) I play 720p MKV's everyday... I gotta keep up with TV on the go.

Oh, seems that my MKV movies will not play on Infuse 4G then, cause all MKV files I ripped with ByteCopy, which copies DVD movies with original AC3 6 channels audio….Is there any way that I can turn AC3 into MP3?

Try this video converter app... HandBrake (http://handbrake.fr/)

It's a really, really good video converter. And before starting conversion, you can specify MP3 or AAC audio.

You Google "MKV ac3 to aac/mp3" and I dare say there's plenty of solutions. Dolby Digital 5.1 audio is not good for Infuse 4G. Why don't you turn the AC3 to AAC or MP3 when ripping DVD to MKV?

Personnally I like using the Mobo Player to play video files, almost can play any video formats.
yeah, 1080p high-profile won't work, but 720p works fine on it. So have to turn to converting, just pick the handbrake, nice for staight conversion, for some more tweaking, I would like use the aneesoft.

agree with you, but where to find Mobo Player?
