View Full Version : Trouble Sending Email to Multiple Contacts Since Update

Since updating the Note, the email client does not properly import two separate email address's associated with a contact.

We recently started using Galaxy Note's for work and we're all very happy with how you can write a rapport in the field and send it to the client.

One of the most valued functions have been the ability to type in a few letters into the "To" field and have the phone's email client pick up on which email address's (according to the Google contact list I created) that are associated with the particular client name.

In essence, I could open the email client and tap in "rog" and it would give me a list like so; "Rogers Autoshop, Rogerondum Inc" and I would simply tap on "Rogers Autoshop" and voila! the client adds the two (!) relevant email address's into the "To" field. This is a god given for the type of work we do since we often have more than one recipient for any given contact.

However, since we updated one of the Note's to the latest version this doesn't work anymore!?

Rather than adding both emails like before, it adds both address's as per usual, but also includes some random symbols into the "To" field between the two email address's which messes it up.
You then have to manually go in and clear out these symbols to make it work.

Does anyone else have the same issue? Are there any workarounds? For now we've had to refrain from updating the remaining phones until this issue is solved.

Hi Mo!

Just did a test for you; with the email client on my international Galaxy Note, having the latest OS being ICS 4.03, I sent a mail via the email client, picking the email addresses as you describe! After the first contact it shows an ';' and sends off the message without any hassle whatsoever!
Works flawless here!!

Maybe reset the phone or restart it?

Don't know what's in memory (programs) when you try that; I've got my GN on English (USA) and it works fine!

- Try to clear data and force close your email in menu setting.
- Recreate account.

If didnt help. Factory reset in recovery.
*Please take note take it will reset as out of the box*
- Boot to recovery (Hole 3 button combo: Power+VolUp+Home).
- Once in recovery. Clear cache and data reset.
- Reboot

GB to ICS quite a major update. Lots of error can be solve by factory data reset.
