View Full Version : Galaxy Note Wifi Loop

09-06-2012, 12:31 PM
I bought a Galaxy Note a few days ago and have connected to two different Wifi spots at home and a friends house. I am now trying to connect at work.
The problem is that I get into some sort of connection loop and never actually connect to the network.

The note "sees" the wireless network and when I select the Work Network and enter the password it says it is
Obtaining IP address and then
Remembered and then
At the same time, the Wifi status at the top of the screen, shows that it is
Scanning and then
Connecting and then
Obtaining IP address from Work Wireless... and then
Disconnected and then
starts the loop again.

If this issue has been solved and covered in another post, feel free to direct me there.
Thanks for your help

Chandra I just purchased one today and have the same exact problem.
Did you get any result yet on a fix, because without WiFi it is useless.

i never received any feedback from this forum.

i tried taking the battery out, "forgetting" the connection and doing a hard reset by holding down the right-hand button. none of those things fixed it. i took it to the ATT store and it connected to their wifi right away. they also did a hard reset and took the battery out. since then it has the same issue intermittently, but generally stays connected. the ATT tech told me to return the phone if it continued to have that problem over the next few days.

you should take it to the store so they understand the problem and let them get it working. if you have to return the phone within the first 30 days, at least they will be less likely to give you a problem.
