Does anyone have any details on what is necessary to develop your own "active wallpapers" for the Nexus One?

No, the only thing I found is this
Install Nexus One Animated Live Wallpapers on Motorola Droid | Gadgets DNA (http://www.gadgetsdna.com/nexus-one-animated-live-wallpapers-installation-on-motorola-droid/688/)

I think that there is going to be developers going crazy for creating a market just for the live wallpapers. I putting my money that we will see a new market specifically just for live walllpapers. It owuld be amazing to creat your own live wallpapers. I thinking off ones that would be like the Hot chich windo washer for the iphone but ten times better.

I agree and I've yet to see a peep for the developers on how to create them... it's a bit sad.

Absolutely, as a developer I can see this turning into a small industry for some just like how themes did on BlackBerry.

Yes exaclty what I was saying. So as developer can you give us any insider info on how to actually create or any one as well as your self that will be starting to make these. And when do you think we will start seeing any of these or an actuall apps or a live wallpaper store?

I was able to find this Google to offer SDK for Android live wallpapers – Android and Me (http://androidandme.com/2010/01/news/google-to-offer-sdk-for-android-live-wallpapers/)

Apparently they are going to release an SDK, I can't wait. It will be awesome to see the type of wallpapers that people come up with.

Hopefully some people can create some cool live wallpapers. Either it will be a big hit at the developers or it will just flop.

I know as a developer that I am really looking forward to this feature. I already have so many great ideas in my head.

Nice job. Love the concept (huge matrix fan) but it's goes a bit too quick and I'd like to see the actual Matrix fonts used instead of normal text.

Speaking of matrix...

Well I have been working on my very first livewallpaper, this one is not anything special it is just for a learning experience....

Like I said nothing special, I am learning so I can make better ones later. This one is just snow, though I do want to add some trees or a cabin in the background.

Edit - Btw, what I am working on is one that will show the weather depending what it is like where you are

That sounds really cool as long as it's not too intrusive.

Looks good. But I think everyone would go crazy for the Matrix back ground. Or for me that Iam crazy about cars and racing a wallpaper of a running motor wheather its inside the motor or outside. For example I have a Mustang 04 Cobra which have chargers from the factor. There is a bunch of GIFs if you look them up with them running an active charger where you can see the pulley moving with the belt.
Or one that would be the most amazing. Anyone who has played GT3 knows in the intro movie there is a part when the Supra is firing up that the spark plug lights the fuel and you actually see the piston in the combustion chamber with the fuel trial igniting. Now that be ****ing amazing I would be $20 for that wall paper.
