Yes I wiped "all" 3 times and just for good measure went into each "data" and "cache" and "davlik cache".

what I meant was that I can't seem to download anything from the market after installing this rom. I was under the assumption that after i enter my google account that the market would know the apps that i had downloaded/purchased and so I should at least be able to download them again.

It has to something simple I missed.....

sorry if i was too vague earlier it was late.

    thanks for the replies

it's all good -- i know how it is. i always think i say a lot more than i do when im tired...and then realize that i've just been thinking it, instead of actually saying it lol

my first suggestion would be to delete the zips you downloaded, and re-download. then flash the *updated* RZRecovery (2.0.3 -- I'll put a link in the OP) [just flash from your existing rzr, then reboot into recovery]. then re-flash the update.zip and gapps.

i flashed using rzr 2.0.3 and it worked flawlessly -- so hopefully that'll get you all sorted out

ok so I downloaded the new RZR. I also noticed that I had a old update.zip and it was for an update of PE. I deleted that and now all seems like like it's working. downloading all my previous apps as we speak. thanks for your help. "fingers crossed"

Glad it worked for you. I can't get some of the apps to download and a WHOLE LOT didn't download (but I don't miss because I never used, right?), but I'm sure that's a Gingerbread problem rather than anything -- or it's a problem with Angry Birds specifically.

I'm not too sure about Angry Birds but I got all apps downloaded. I don't think it was a gingerbread thing. Probably was due to bad flash on my part bc of that update.zip file. Who knows.....

All day it has been running smooth with decent battery life. Definite improvement over PE in that regard. PE was just flat out fast. Like twin turbo with nitrous and no brakes fast. Hot battery temps/short battery life came with it too. Gingerbread overall seems buggy on my phone but heck its fun staying up late....

Yeah, I got FANTASTIC battery life last night -- tethering WiFi for at least four hours and it ran my battery down to 5% when it should have kicked off after about three.

There are definitely some "quirks" on GB when it comes to it running on the Droid... all-in-all though, I just got hooked on the little details. Stuff like the overscroll and tv animation are great, but it's just plain smooth on my phone. I think my favorite feature above all, though, is the ease of moving the cursor with the little tabs. With the "small" screen on the Droid it makes the whole editing process so much easier.

Have you noticed that apps on the SD card become available a LOT faster? Also, let's face it, it just boots up and gets READY faster.

It does seem a bit overzealous about killing apps, and I still can't get Angry Birds to download or Seasons to update. Annoying.

I just dl'd and installed Angry Birds. No problems there. This rom is growing on me with the setup I have.
