{**ROM Release**} CyanogenMod 7.0.0 - RC2 for Droid (MotoDroid / OG Droid)

This is a discussion on {**ROM Release**} CyanogenMod 7.0.0 - RC2 for Droid (MotoDroid / OG Droid) within the Custom Android Roms forums, part of the Android Development category; Must be my phone/locale, then. It'll clear up, most likely, or I'll figure a workaround....

One thing I also did was to enable wifi as soon as humanly possible as the market was updating. Don't know could have made a difference or not but something to think about

One last thing I thought about. There are two different links for the gapps on the first page. At first I thought they were the same but they are actually different or at least from two different sources.

The one I used that worked was : http://android.d3xt3r01.tk/cyanogen/...307-signed.zip

The other is from : Downloading GApps... ---- I suppose this is from the the mirror site to dl straight to the phone?

They should be identical, but I should probably check the date code on both. The Market in one of them might not be current. Good catch, Paul.

The gapps packages *should* be identical, but I just copied the links straight from the CM Forums, so who knows. I haven't flashed both, admittedly, so I can't say for certain if they differ from one another.

Also, @FBM -- I was having angry birds issues too, and a few other quirks so I restored my nandroid of Sourcery until I started missing cm7 (took about 2 days)... so then I reflashed cm7 and galls (same ones on the sdcard) and...voila.... no angry birds issues. Weird.

Especially since they were just restored from TiBu. They install by default on the sdcard, but they FC if they're on the sdcard (at least for me), so I immediately 'move to phone" and all is well.

Absolutely no clue what caused it to do that before and is totally fine now.

+1 I'm not so sure that rolling out the first real RC for sholes with a "RC2" label just to be consistent with other devices was a smooth move.... but I can still understand why. I just feel like it doesn't give an accurate representation of its progress through the development cycle thus far.
