I did some searching and I don't think anyone has created an Android ROM for the HD7 yet...

+1 -- you will need a few things to be done before this is possible for the HD7. You will need:

    - a compatible recovery that will allow flashing an unofficial operating system on your device
    - a ROM built specifically for the HD7 hardware that would include the necessary proprietary drivers and compatible kernel
    - a root exploit to be found for the HD7 that will allow root access to install a modified recovery module as well as flash a custom OS onto the system partition / mount /system read/write

Hope that clarifies a little for you. I don't know if anyone is working on this, but IF there is enough demand out there for it, then it's likely a dev group would give it a shot.

I hould be getting the HTC HD7 sometime this week and for 9.99 at letstalk.com, given my budget this month, I couldn't pass on the fastest phone for 10 bucks. Sadly I wanted the Samsung Vibrant but was strapped for cash atm....If a Custom Rom ever gets off the ground this phone would be awesome!

Doesn't even have to be an Android rom. Just open it up so we can customize it to our hearts content. If anyone ever took up this task I'd definitely donate to his/her cause. Here's to Hoping!

Technically this isn't too hard to imagine happening in the near future. The internals of the HD7 are the same as the Desire/Incredible/Nexus1... aside from baseband radios and probably the digitizer/touch panel controller. All WP7 devices are built on first gen Snapdragon.

    Quit Lying

unless your name is Cotulla you haven't done a thing. Cotulla and his group are INFAMOUS for what they did to the HD2 , providing a bootloader so that the HD2 could have a recovery and run android.

Don't lie and make yourself look simple and stupid.

if you had created a bootloader for this phone it would be all over the internet and you'd be praised as a diety. in this case i want to see you trampled by jungle pigs for lying...
