Will I Lose Information with an Update?

I have an earlier version of this resurrection remix ROM:

Resurrection Remix ROM for Galaxy S2! [GT-i9100][SGH-i777][V3.1.2] | Galaxy S2 Root

I have version 3.1.0, and the in-ROM update finder has found 3.1.1 and this site has 3.1.2. If I use the in ROM updater to download the newest version, then flash that update, do I lose all my information like I did when I initially rooted and flashed this ROM? I have backed up everything I want to save using titanium backup, but I'd rather not have to completely reconfigure all my ROM, launcher, SMS app, and multiple other settings. Last time I did this, it took roughly 2 hours. I'm just wondering if this is an update that just sits on top of something that's already there, or if it replaces what's there. If it's a replacement then I won't bother with it, but if it doesn't trash my settings I might. Thanks for your help!

Generally speaking an update to a ROM should allow you to keep current data unless the update specifies a wipe is needed... I don't have experience with that specific ROM though so stick around for more input.

Most ROM updates just need a dirty flash (wipe cache, wipe Davlik cache, flash the update, reboot)

Only if there are MAJOR changes to a ROM (like ICS to JB) will you need to do a full wipe.
