Sending My HTC One X In for Warranty

    Hello,

I just bought an HTC One X from someone, it's not a new one. The person that I bought it from said that there was an manufacturing defect in the phone, in the WiFi receiver of the phone. He said that I could send it in for warranty anytime, until the warranty expired, obviously.

I saw that HTC isn't making HTC One Xs since a pretty long time now, and I was wondering; if I would send my HTC One X to HTC for warranty, is there a possiblity that I would receive a different kind of phone, and if yes, what phone would that probably be?

I would think they would make any repairs covered by warranty and send you the same phone back - why, are you looking for a new phone?

I am not really looking for a phone, but the since the HTC one X has no LTE, but I do have access to the LTE network, a phone supporting would be great.

EDIT: The HTC One X can't be opened, as far as I know. They cannot repair the phone without completely ruining the outside of the phone. Sending a new phone, instead of opening it up a placing a new WiFi card would probably be much cheaper for them anyway.
