Hello everyone, I'm just wondering how to take screenshots on my HTC Raider, I've done it twice totally by accident and still can't figure out I did it!!!
I imagine this is probably asked all the time so sorry for asking again!!

I did the same thing by accident. I found when I hold the power button and tap home it screenshots for me, on my HTC Velocity. Running Android 4.0.3. Not sure if its the same bit give it a crack...
Yep, that's right press and hold your power/lock button and press your home screen button. So far works that way with all android phones as far as I know my wife's Motorola Bionic is that way my HtC Resound also is that way.
Although my wife uses go launcher and with that it doesn't take SS. So keep that in mind.

The go launcher has screenshot in the power button menu. So press n hold the power button and then select screen shot from the menu.

It differs on different Android devices. For example, to take a screenshot with a Samsung phone, you have to press home and back buttons at the same time. It doesn't work with Power+Home like in HTCs.
The power + home key combo doesn't work on HTC thunderbolt...:c

As far as I know, HTC Thunderbolt doesn't allow taking screenshots by default. You have to either hook it with a PC or you have to root your phone. There are many apps that let you take screenshots after you root it.

I just had to get my Samsung Epic 4G Galaxy S replaced, and i went from FROYO to Gingerbread for some reason... with FROYO, I was able to take screenshots unrooted, and I cannot figure out how to do it now... no apps i have downloaded work... i tried power button/home button, power button/back button, home button/back button... nothing is working.. anyone have a clue?
That's odd. Home+back should take a screenshot. Try it several times, try holding them harder and make sure you press them at the same time. I remember my older SGS had trouble taking screenshots. Home+back worked but I had to put some effort in it to take one. SGS+ and other phones seem to have no trouble at all.

holding power button and then home button works for HTC Raider.
before I figured that out, I tried downloading screenshot apps. but sometimes it doesn't work when you are using an app.
also, some of them require your phone to be rooted.how do you do that?
