A Hard Reset restores the original factory settings and will erase all downloaded content, including ringtones, contacts stored in the handset memory, etc. It does not erase data stored on the SIM card or memory card (if available). Back up all necessary data on the device memory before proceeding by going to Home>Menu>Settings>Privacy>Back up my data (requires a SD Card installed in the device) and running a sync with the emails accounts set up on the device (Home>Menu>Settings>Accounts & sync>Sync now).

Menu Path Method:
1. From the Home screen, press the Menu Button and select Settings.
2. Select Privacy.
3. Select Factory data reset.
4. Select Reset phone.
5. Select Erase everything.
6. The device will dump all of the data and reload.

Key Stroke Method
1. Power the device OFF.
2. Press the Volume Down and the Power Button until you see the white screen with the Android logos and text.
3. Press the Volume Down button to highlight Clear Storage.
4. Press the Power Button once and you should see a message stating Delete all user Data?
5. Press the Volume Up button and the Hard Reset process will begin.
6. The device will reboot once the process is complete.
Note: This process can take several minutes to complete.
