I am rooted so I wont be doing this update. But I am curious how much better it is. I am so happy the Aria wasn't lost in the mix, but I think HTC knows that this device is kinda popular for a mid range phone. I hope to see some comments on how it went.

Well, I upgraded yesterday, and I am torn. There are many nice features to 2.2. One of my games seems to work better, the wallpapers are nicer, more option and capabilities to the mail clients, HOWEVER, my battery use seems to have taken a hit. I setup the phone as close to the way that I had it before, but I'd say I'm going through the battery 10-20% faster. Not a huge issue, but being that the benefits aren't huge either, I have to question the benefit of making the upgrade. Additionally, I am seeing more ads on the phone in the middle of the screen as opposed to the edge of the screen where they used to be. BTW, for those that wanted 2.2 for flash purposes, it works, but for anything other than video it's a waste of time. The 600mhz processor just doesn't have enough umph. A friend of mine was waiting for 2.2 so she could let her children play flash games on it, and it is unusable for that application.

Lastly, I paid for the Meridian music player. I have a receipt email, but after the upgrade the Meridian app is not seeing my google account ID as having the appropriate key information. I've emailed SAI, the developer, and assume they'll address this quickly, but my opinion, is that I shouldn't have to deal with an issue like this, due to upgrading an OS.

I hope this information is of help to someone. I'm not saying don't perform the upgrade, just proceed with your eyes open.

with 2.2 you get a flash plugin which as I understand is flashlite, it does play more videos now over just the htc flash player but it still won't play everything. now that I have been running 2.2 for a few days I have found my first bug and that is with my bookmark widget it keeps deleting my bookmarks, it has happened 3 times already.another thing I noticed is some lag when running a live wallpaper.
