MT3G no sim = no worky

MT3G no sim.. want to root and use with wifi like I do with my trusty g3. The difference is this my g3 never got *****y without a sim.. this mt3g seems like fort knox.. should I find a sim or is there way to remove the "no sim" message upon start up??

If T-Mobile had towers in the sticks I wouldn't be with big red.
