Stopping ota gingerbread Verizon update notification

I'm running SkyRaider 4.3 rom. I'm receiving a Verizon 2.3.4 ota update notification and I don't want it. I want to stop the annoying update notification and prevent the download of the update. I did a search on it and there were two different zip files people were using to flash and stop all ota notifications and downloads of ota's, but all links are dead. Can anyone help?

I found a solution. I followed instructions at the following web link. There are two methods and I did both. The only thing I didn't do was freeze the download folder.

I used ES File Explorer to do all the file editing. Its free unlike root explorer. Just make sure you go into the settings and select root explorer option and the mount file system option. Your phone must be rooted to use the two options in ES File Explorer.
So far no nag or download.
