Have you seen these rugged cases yet? This one and this one.

Neither are out yet though. I think I'm just going to buy whichever one is available first among the three.

Yeah the second one is kind of ugly but their iPhone case is pretty much indestructible.

I just ordered a Commuter Otter Box.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a Car Mount? I use the GPS often when I travel.. so would like to find one that doesn't require me taking the phone out of the case...

When I had Verizon I had the original Motorola Droid. Was always such a hassle to take it out of it's case just to stick it in the Car Mount.

If you find one let me know, and I will do the same. I am also looking for a car mount for my EVO and don't plan to remove the case each time. Perhaps a generic mount will work best because it will be more adjustable?

I just got my Defender .
WOW ! dosnt add too much bulk .
A very nice case .

try wiredforless.com and look at the the slim disc M2 its a great mount i have been using, the only thing when i did the defender case i had to space the back of the hard portion of the case and glue the disc on that but it swivels and will hold the position.

Well after a month of use the holster broke at the belt clip .
Contacted Otterbox and they are sending me Defender , and was told by them that mine isnt the first one that they have heard of doing that so becareful when using the holster .
