I would recommend using the new stock kernel. It has uncapped FPS and superior battery life. It seems to run a lot smoother than any of the custom kernels I have tried.

Fresh 3.3.0.1 has it prepackaged, and the two together are a mighty fine combination.

Jak what do you think of the new kernel?

I didnt know Fresh 3.3.0.1 was out. You're just flashing that rom and theme with out the kernel change because of the internal kernel?

No theme, I kept getting GMail FCs so I gave up.

I was having some issues so I flashed a rooted stock PC36IMG.zip and then flashed Fresh. If you do that it will update your radios and HBOOT for you if you haven't updated them already.

Definitely using stock kernel. No reason not to when it's better than all the others.

Hats off you you again MH you're right on top of it again.

Its been great being able to help some others that were a little leery about flashing and just plain worried about bricking their phone. Really the thanks goes to you for keeping me on track as far as that goes. I've been following in your footsteps so to speak since i finally rooted and its been a great experience.

Keep up the good work sir

You need the eng hboot 7.6.0 to flash cyanogen. I really don't like cyanogen, losing the smart dialer is a dealbreaker.

Rename the file to PC36IMG.zip and put it in the root of your SD card. When you boot into the bootloader, it will scan for it automatically and load it (takes a couple minutes) once it's loaded it will ask if you want to update, choose yes. When it's done, reboot the phone, let it boot completely, connect your phone to your comp and delete the PC36IMG.zip file from the SD card so it doesn't load again next time you boot into the boatloader.

Once you've done that, flash your ROM as usual. Fresh 3.3.0.1, not 3.2. Don't know if that was a typo but trust me, you want the latest one.
