I've seen countless pages about how the Z4 root works on the Evo but it's not seeming to work on mine. It would be well appriciated if anybody would give me a step to step list on what to do or give me a good page to read. thanks!:evostand::4g:

Android.net is the premier Android Forum on the internet.
From what I've seen it is a bit of a chore, but here ya go...
1) It does not work with the newest update (Dec. 2010)
2) You can only permanent root - no temporary
3) You need to be running z4root 1.3 or higher
4) You need to save it to the root folder of the SD card before installing
If all of these things are done and you haven't landed the newest update, z4 should work fine. If you did the December OTA, you need to use unrevoked.
