New Message Notification Won't Go Away

Everytime someone sends me a text message, the little envelope pops up in the notification bar, right? right. so when i click on the messaging app itself, since its right there on the homescreen, the notification is still there after I've read the message!

if Im in the message app and I'm reading someone's message and the SAME PERSON sends another message, the notification pops up and doesnt go away even though I'm right there in the app.

does ANYONE else have this problem??!!

No, it sounds like you may have a problem specific to that phone. After I view the message and exit, the message indicator goes away. I would take it back and have Sprint fix it for you if the issue does not go away.

Hey, did you solve that issue because i have it the same thing with my galaxy s and its getting way over my nerves.. Need a fix.
