    EVO Tether help...

Hi, I am not sure how to go about this, please post details on how to tether a laptop with the EVO. I am interested in the USB method.

Q: Which application is best for USB tethering and why?

Q: Are there additional applications that must be loaded to USB tether?

Q: Are there any password codes or special access to USB tether a laptop?

Q: Is there a site to use to verify if the USB tethering process is completed and working correctly?

Q: Have any tips or tricks to pass along for USB tethering?

Q: Did I missing anything or are there any observations or advice I need to know about to tether via USB?

    Thanks:
    CharO

I use EasyTether for my usb tethering. It costs $10 (one time fee) and is very straightforward and easy to use. There is also another app called PDANet but it's a little more expensive($18) and I have no experience with it so I can't vouch for it. Both apps require a download for your computer as well.

Q: Are there any password codes or special access to USB tether a laptop?

Not sure I understand what you mean about passwords... just load the app on your phone and on your computer, follow a couple easy steps and you're tethering.

Q: Is there a site to use to verify if the USB tethering process is completed and working correctly?

Any website will do. If you can load a website, you're tethering.

Q: Have any tips or tricks to pass along for USB tethering?

Not really, the whole process is very simple.

Q: Did I missing anything or are there any observations or advice I need to know about to tether via USB?

    Nope, just download and go!
