I have the same problem after my device updated to 2.2. I had it before and I enjoyed having the option of both but I haven't found a way to get that back.

Y'know..I think I had a widget that allowed this combo, but it was a while ago and I dropped a bunch of apps to save memory. I'll see if I can dig it up.![]()

IIRC, it was called Audio Manager Widget, and you simply check the vibrate box above the ringer volume adjuster in settings. HTH!![]()

I used an app called cVolume. It let me control everything and even set up custom rules.
