Is It Possible To Root Evo 4G w/Gingerbread 2.3.3?
I've had my Evo 4G for 2 months now and I've decided to try and root it, only it's been updated to Gingerbread 2.3.3 and I can't find any [working] root instructions.
Someone recommended GingerBreak but alot of people who tried it said it doesn't work.
Anyone have any ideas or know of a way to make this happen?

Im having the same problem myself.... So far, the most accurate information I've received was that the developers haven't came up with an exploit for this ota version.... Hopefully they come up with one soon. The hole problem is us Evo 4g owners are on the backburner since the releasr of the Evo 3d, so unfortunately for us, it may be a while before we see a perma root..

Hence the old saying;
"If you're going to root, do not accept ANY OTA updates."
I remember when HTC said they were going to unlock the phones. Don't you love companies that keep their promises?

Yeah, I think its something HTC wanted to do but sprint put a stop to it because they want the "bloatware" to stay on the phones. The problem is, the devices that have been purchased recently carry the 2.3.3 version, so even people who know not to accept ota updates are screwed. like me... Lol. SOMEONE PLEASE FIGURE OUT A ROOT FOR 2.3.3. THERE WILL BE A LOT OF GRATEFUL PEOPLE!!
