    WIFI security on open networks

    Hello,

I am new to the EVO and Android in general and just have a quick question. What, if any, precautions are necessary when connecting to open WIFI networks like the ones found at Panera, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, etc? My previous phone did not have WIFI so this is new territory for me but I really like being able to jump on a friendly open network now and then.

    Thanks!
