Yes the silica is better than rice like xer stated. The ideal thing is an insurance claim like tp76 suggested.

I got my phone less than two weeks ago and a little bit of my daughters juice from her sippy cup spilled on it while in my bag. I can see huge streaks on the screen but otherwise it works ok. I put it in rice for a while and have no problems with it but the screen. Should i file an insurance claim or is there any way to fix this?
What do you mean streaks? Like barring on the image itself or just something on the glass? Is it under the screen or on the screen?
DO NOT WRITE IN THIS SPACETHIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK
If it's underneath like FBM is saying then you probably will need to file an insurance claim.
so i got home from camping and my dad thought it would be fun to throw me in the pool unfortunantly my phone was in my pocket my phone the htc g2 with google seems fine all but there are water spots on the screen its been by the ac for about 3 days now and i dont think that rice can go into my screen
