    Well sorta. It needs to be compatible with whatever ROM you have on your phone. If you are unsure you could just flash the kernel and hope it works.

    omg thank you so much if i could i would kiss you. I dont nececarily like this kernal but hey beggers cant be choosers. now i am having issues with the mobile connect. It is stuck in the processes of "turning on.."

    Glad it worked! I have been in that same situation many times, I know how frustrating it is.

    By mobile connect do you mean the data connection? I don't know why that wouldn't be working. Maybe try reflashing your ROM. To find out what ROM is on there hit menu > settings > about phone > software information and it should be under build. Just search for that ROM and flash it the same way you flashed the kernel.

    ya i dont think that its the rom. i had this problem before i screwed up the phone, actualy it is the whole reason i did it(trying to fix it). but hey i am not to woried, just happy to be able to call and text again.

    Usually for me when the data connection sticks at "turning on..." i just power cycle the phone and it reconnects.
    I gave my iPhone to my 5 year old and got an EVO.

    Ya, i tried to whole power cycle thing(about 100 times actualy) and still no luck. It just gets stuck on "turning on.." it did this to me about 2 months ago for a week, then just magicly fixed itslef.

    The RUU that I linked you to is flashable directly from your phone, you don't need a PC. The instructions to flash it are in the first post of that thread. This will be the easiest method but like I said before you will lose everything.
