Phone Sends Multiple SMS on restart

Every time i restart my phone it resends random old texts to original recipients. Anyone Else have this same problem? It did it with the Android built in SMS and Go SMS Pro.

I know of a few other android phones that do this. It used to happen to me on my older phones. Not sure of the issue or what the fix is.

Same thing happens to me. I don't think its a model handicap but more on Android in general.

Clear the dialer storage to wipe out the text cache and try again. What usually happens is the texts are listed as "not sent" even if they were, most often because of low signal or signal interruption at the time.

This just happened to me as well after a software upgrade. ATT had no assistance, but they did void the 500 odd messages my phone resent yesterday. I did the above (clear the dialer storage), but this needs to be prevented in the future. My company was nice and took away the charges, but my friends who received 70 texts from me at once got charged.

Is AT&T aware of a large problem or is it localized to a few phones?
