Question dropped phone and screen looks fine but wont work.

Today when I went to stand up, my phone fell out of my sweater pocket and landed flat, with the screen down. I've had it for about a year and a half and I've accidentally dropped it several times before and it's always been fine. But today when it fell, it turned off and when I restarted it, it started normally and there aren't any cracks anywhere on the screen. It shows the lock screen like normal and every time I get a phone call or text, the notification window pops up and everything, but it's not recognizing that I'm touching it. I can't unlock it or anything. I can only turn the screen on/off with the button on top. Any suggestions as to what I should do to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you might need a new screen or maybe some of the connectors came loose. I'd take the phone in to your service provider and go from there. Best of luck to you!

I agree with Wicked. Your screen is most likely damaged. Can you tell us what type of display it is? If it's not an AMOLED, perhaps you only need to switch the digitizer.

This may sound crazy but pull the battery for about 10 minutes then try it. My Tbolt used to have that issue every so often and that solved it. But also mine wasn't caused from dropping it.

If this was caused by overcharging (in high voltage), then it would work. But it's worth to try.
