Thirdly, one of the joys of Android is that you can try many different things and see which one works the best for you. So go dig out Hancent and give it a try and see if you like it better than the stock messaging app.
First off I'm not trying to bust on Droid phones. Second The inspire is an Android phone!!!!!! Third the iPhone you can do different things with it too including just about everything the Android phone can do except for live widgets which is why I decided to go with an Android phone since I couldn't afford the iPhone at the moment and so far I love it I just really hate the fact that I can't do what I wrote above^. I will try hancent if its not the one I already tried which couldn't do it.

Remember to check the settings, even in Handcent. The video SMS size limit is usually around 2mbs, you'd have to use email for anything else.

And what he was trying to say there is that the Droids are a specific line of phones.

Not all Android phones are Droids. If you refer to it as such you'll confuse people and get some really bad help at times. A Droid is one of a limited series of phones released primarily on the Verizon network -- Eris, Motorola Droid/Droid 1/Droid, 2, 2G, R2D2, X, Pro, and the Droid Incredible. Just trying to keep confusion to a minimum. I see way too many "you'll have to SBF that" suggestions on non-Motorola phones.

Let us know how things go so we can try to troubleshoot your problem further (if needed) after you try something.

Yea that's why I corrected my self with saying I wasn't trying to bust on the Droid phone and that the inspire is an Android, but yea I will definitely keep you guys updated on what goes on.

verone, how did you get rid of MMS as your texting ap and make Handcent your default? I cannot seem to make this happen. Thanx.

I'm assuming you're asking me. LOL

If you've downloaded Handcent, it has a widget of its own, so just use that on a homescreen and ditch the icon for the stock one.

You can't really deactivate it, but you can turn off the notifications and turn on the ones for Handcent and just use its services.
