New to Droid coming from an iPhone

So had an iPhone since the first day they came out with one right up to the iPhone 4 and now I have my first Droid phone. The Inspire. I think I have lots to learn. Couple things I haven't liked but all in all I still like it. But I hate the fact that I haven't been able to send videos, can anybody help me with that?

    to the forum!

Have you attempted to add the video as an attachment to the text? Or are you trying to send via e-mail?

As an attachment to text. It says message size limit reached. Sorry, but you cannot attach this to your message. the video is only 12sec long. I use to be able to send minute long videos through my iPhone so I really don't get what's going on cause I doubt 12sec is to long of a video to send

Did you check the message settings? There usually is a limit for MMS and I know when I got my Evo, the default was on the lowest one and I had to change it.

I use Handcent, now, which gives an even higher limit.

It's also possible that the video was recorded at a much higher level. Check your camera settings as well as what verwon suggested.

It depends on the quality and the Mb size of the file and it could also pertain to whAT Verwon suggested.

So basically what I'm being told is that the iPhone can handle higher quality video or can send longer videos? And that I need to get and app to send them? Well that sucks. Very disappointing with the phone and Droid

Even the iPhone has limits, because those are set by the carrier, not the phone itself.

First off, your phone isn't a Droid. It's a Desire HD according to your tag or an Inspire according to your profile. All are very different phones. Secondly, nobody said anything of the kind. Thirdly, one of the joys of Android is that you can try many different things and see which one works the best for you. So go dig out Hancent and give it a try and see if you like it better than the stock messaging app.

No I was able to send over minute long videos with my iPhone
and I was also able to send higher quality pics and videos through it so it had nothing to do with the carrier. I work at best buy mobile and my friend works with me too and we both have the inspire so we tried send each other videos and pictures thinking maybe the iPhone just has a different format but that wasn't it we actually had to go into the video menu and drop our video quality to 176x144 to actually send and receive videos when the iPhone can do 1280x720 actual HD quality and that's on the iPhone 4. I'm just saying I can't wait till the iPhone 5 comes out!!!
