New Android user - in the market for a phone

After 6 years w/ Cingular/AT&T, I'm ready to move on.

I bought an Atrix earlier this week, but returned it yesterday because AT&T decided they were going to remove the ability for their Android users to install non-market apps...which is why I wanted an Android in the first place (I currently have an iPhone 3GS).

I'll be doing research in the next couple of months, looking for a suitable carrier/phone combination, and you'll probably be hearing from me.
