Loading web pages. The yellow line on the top zips across to about 75% of the total distance then stops and "thinks" to the point I give up waiting and close the window. I use wi-fi, which doesn't seem any faster than 3g. The notices appear on top or bottom. I think they are ads to buy stuff. But I can go from a full charge to less than 20% in 2 hours just surfing. Thats when the ads pop up. Thank-you gentlemen both you guys

Fyi: I have 117mb of available phone memory, and only about 25% of the 2gig card left, even though my only "stuff" on it is about 300mb of music. There is so much junk on it (I recognize about 20 things on it apps, or pieces of, that have long been un-installed)

P.S: my battery has gone down 25% just swyping these last 3 replies, about 15 minutes. And an ad for a battery booster just popped up.

Ok, something maybe draining the battery. Go to settings>about phone> battery usage and tell me what's using the battery

    Thanks

Pop up ads for battery boosters? I think you have some stuff on there you don't want or need. Have you installed any apps not from the Market?

Tell us what's been using the battery. Slag It's instructions will take you right to it.

Ps: I wish I was smart enough to get rid of tons of crap the phone came with that I will never use

In order to do most of that you'll have to root, which voids your warranty, so...

Your system is running a lot of stuff in the background, sounds like, and it's eating your battery alive. Cell standby accounting for 16% of your battery loss is a bit high, too.

Exactly what fbm said, I would suggest rooting your phone or maybe seeing if you could swap it with the Samsung Exhibit or the Samsung Dart. Unless you do not mind spending a little money, then I would suggest the sensation or galaxy 4g.
