    Unhappy Back to my rock

Thanx anyway, but this is too much for my pea-brain. I don't know where to write things; don't know if people are talking to me or somebody else; don't know what thread subscriptions or tags or signatures are; completely confused about the "@forum.net" thing (did I already do that by registering or why would I want all my e-mail forwarded here and it's mandatory for certain priveleges(?); and in that same area as those .net instructions is a link to an LG android forum that comes up "page not found"; and to top it off my phone isn't listed. I don't want to be the only one with a piece of junk (it would seem) LG Optimus T. From what I've read, everybody has better phones and they know how to use them. I feel like I don't belong, like I'm the only beginner here. I must get back to my rock now. It's more my pace.

What do you want to know? What questions do you have? The listing of the optimus t is because the s and v are the same device just not T-mobile. The reason you didn't find it listed is no one had made a comment about having one. You said your new to this type of phone so the optimus t is a device designed to meet a beginners wants. Maybe in time you will want to upgrade to the more advanced when you feel comfortable. You need to ask questions first though.

I'm on the internet about 18 hrs/day, sitting at home, next to my charger. Should I keep this plugged in while I'm on it, or let it drain, charge it, drain, charge...?(this phone is my only computer).thank-you

Keep it plugged in. It'll run off the external power source. While an occasional power cycle is good for the battery, excessive cycling usually shortens battery life significantly.

Thank-you furbearingmammal.1 more question, if you please. In services running, above network locations, there's "rate places". I read from somebody to try "bloat freeze" (i think) in android apps, but thats only for rooted phones, of which I haven't a clue what that means. Whatever rooting is scares me. Is that "rate places" slowing anything down or draining my battery? I know its a pre-school question for guys like you, but it's driving me nuts not knowing (4mb). Thanx again very much.

Full RAM takes as much to power as free RAM, so unless it's actively pinging and using the CPU and radio excessively it's not doing you any battery/power harm at all.

Exactly what fbm said. You will be ok with leaving it plugged in and also with the full and partial memory.

Am I posting questions in the right place? Also, speaking of running services, there are 10 things there, using over 60mb. Is that okay? I keep getting messages like "your phone is slow" and "your battery is draining too fast". My phone runs great most of the time, but takes forever sometimes too, esp. using my browser (google.com homepage). Thanx for everything.

    Two questions:

    1) when you say it takes forever, are you talking about getting something to load (ie web pages)? Or going back to the home screen?
    2) HOW are you getting notifications that your phone is too slow or your battery is draining too fast?
